RollerBug Roller Skate Co. was started in the Spring of 2005 by Alyson McMullen a.k.a. Kandy Barr. RollerBug Roller Skate Co. was an integral part of the rebirth of roller debry in our hometown, Toronto, as well as across Canada.

Kandy Barr was a founding member of the Toronto Roller Derby League. Through RollerBug she founded the Smoke City Betties - one of Canada's very first roller derby teams! From there the Betties joined forces with the other roller derby teams that were forming in Toronto and together they became ToRD with the addition of Kandy's current team - the infamous Gore-Gore Rollergirls. RollerBug is proud to be derby owned and operated since 2005!!

We have our own line of roller skates exclusive to RollerBug. These skates include styles that were designed for recreation as well as styles that were designed for roller derby.

We are proud of where we come from and how far we have come - roller derby is everywhere!!!!! Rev. Joel Ramirez (Gore-Gore manager) and Dust Bunny (Gore-Gore skater) are important members of the RollerBug team.
